The Little Guy® beam profiler packs the power of a complete beam characterization system at the price that blows away the competition. An affordable, commercial CCD imager lies inside a simple and compact package. The Little Guy® laser beam profiler is so small and simple to use, it fits almost anywhere.

Powerful. Portable. Affordable. Easy to use.

With the Little Guy® beam profiler, you will enjoy a 640 x 480 pixel array with 5.6 micron pixel size. Silicon CCD technology allows measurement of laser wavelengths from 300 to 1100 nm. Universal USB connection attaches to almost any computer and advanced analysis and measurement functions make operation of the beam profiler a pleasure. At this price, every lab should have at least one Little Guy.

Designed with applications in mind

The Little Guy® beam profiler can be used for laser design and debug, laser installation and service, optics train design, education and training, manufacturing test, general optics bench testing, and many other applications.

Having multiple inexpensive beam profilers makes it possible to monitor a laser system at multiple points simultaneously. For example, one can measure the output beam profile, intermediate beam profiles, and the pump laser beam profile to monitor laser health and to optimize performance.

Multiple beam profilers on an optical bench can revolutionize laser alignment. Collinear alignment of two beams can be done very accurately by setting up two cameras that sample the laser beam at two locations. By overlapping the beam on both cameras, one can be sure that the two beams are highly collinear.

Laser beam drift over the optical bench can be monitored with the use of a laser beam profiler. Placing multiple beam profilers along the optical bench allows one to find which components are drifting the most and can allow easy re-alignment.

Discover your inner beam with digital capture and excellent software

Digital image capture of the image is obtained directly on the sensor head and is transmitted as digital data to the computer with USB. Digital image capture is superior to analog image capture since analog capture requires a digitizing board located external to the camera and is susceptible to noise and data corruption.

The complete Little Guy® beam profiler system comes with BeamSoft® beam profiling software that runs on Windows XP and provides both simple profile visualization and sophisticated beam analysis tools. Detailed beam features can be revealed with the real-time live video capture and, at the same time, beam profile metrics, such as the beam width, are computed and displayed on the fly. You'll also enjoy the feature rich options such as beam width measurements, Gaussian fit, beam jitter tracking, and multiple data visualization options.

It comes with a 30-day excitement guarantee

We offer a 30-day risk-free trial so you can compare, side by side, the performance of the Little Guy laser beam profiler to that of larger and more expensive beam profilers. If you are unsatisfied with the Little Guy laser beam profiler, you can send the unit back for a refund.
